Some of Bali’s best dive sites are just a short boat ride away from Sanur. Manta Rays live on Nusa Penida and can be seen all year long. Plankton, which has a lot of water in it, is their main source of food. At those dive sites, you might see the rare Ocean Sunfish or Mola Mola from July to September. It comes up from the deep water so that small fish close to the surface can clean it.
In the north of the island, you can do exciting drift dives on a coral bottom full of sea life.
Nusa Penida is a “MUST” for divers who want to get as close to these amazing creatures as possible.
